Walk from Jerusalem to Rome

Saul of Tarsus later called Paul and finally St. Paul is a biblical figure credited for exporting the good news from Jerusalem (Palestine) to Rome (Europe). A man of gusty determination and dogged with persistence, sharpness of mind and ability to fight his own corner is admired by most bible readers.

Looking at him, no one can doubt that this brilliant, academically able, Jerusalem trained rabbi had been utterly transformed by a powerful conviction. His earlier belief underwent total overhaul and he became an ardent advocate of Jesus as the true messiah of Israel. This conviction so en-grained in him drove him through the rest of his life. It propelled him far away from home, tarsus and Jerusalem to the various places we will discover in this place (steps of Paul).

At this place, you will be taken on a wide ranging tour of an area extending to 1400 miles (2250kms) i.e. Jerusalem to Rome, with a host of cities and places in between.

People who walk in the ‘Steps of Paul’ are often moved to an admiration of this man especially asking;’ why was this man so prepared to travel –on foot, by boat, or mule  for a cause he was initially determined to exterminate? What was now the passion that drove him? For those who have never visited rugged Cilician gates in southern Turkey today, looked out over the bleak expanse of ancient Galatia, visited the market place of Corinth or Athens or Ephesus, stand in the shoes of Malta, walk in the (‘steps of Paul. Kenya’ will have a profoundly experience.

He virtually traveled on his own- simply in order to bring people what he believed was the good news and the truth of God in their lives.

Taking people in a walk in the ‘Steps of Paul. Kenya is an enjoyable enterprise. I have taken hundreds of pilgrims to Holyland land Kenya especially “Walk in Steps of Jesus” for the last two years without interruption.

Walk in the “Steps of Paul” is a sequel to “Walk in steps of Jesus” just like the book of Acts is a sequel to the Gospel of Luke.

Every time I walk in this place, I have found it spiritually fulfilling, yielding new insights into the bible story and what it means to me.

I invite you to join me in Paul’s journey, to follow his movements and learn from him on the road.

Special thanks to Professor peter Walker, author of Steps of Jesus and Steps of St. Paul. All what I have done is basically reading from his highly informative publications and put it on the ground in Kenya.

In the “walk in steps of Jesus”, the ended the journey in Jerusalem and the apostles yielded to Jesus command to wait in Jerusalem until they received power to become his witness beginning in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria
